What I use

The things I actually use

I’m Oz. I went from 127 kg to 82 kg over about 4 years, and food did most of the work. People sometimes ask what I use day to day, so this is the short list. These are things I use myself, and there is nothing here I haven’t tried.

Kitchen

In my kitchen

Sistema KLIP IT PLUS food storage containers, 1 L

These are the containers I use for my lunches. Making my own lunch, instead of buying whatever was nearby, was one of the biggest changes I made.

Stainless steel measuring cups and spoons, 8 pieces

Food did most of the work for me, and a lot of that came down to portion sizes. This is the simple set I use to measure them.

Ninja Speedi 10 in 1 rapid cooker and air fryer

I use this for batch cooking, so there is a proper meal ready on busy days.

Ninja CREAMi ice cream maker

This is how I have a treat that still fits the way I eat, for example protein ice cream.

Food

In my cupboard

Bulk Vegan Protein Powder, vanilla, 1 kg

I’m vegetarian, and this is the protein powder I use. It is simply what works for me, so if you’re unsure whether something suits you, check with a professional.

Where to go next

Start with the free checklist

If you’re starting out, or starting again, the Kickstart checklist has the 10 small first steps I’d begin with.

This is my journey. Yours will be unique.
